Humphrey & Co take on the Christmas Tree Challenge!

Posted 18th November 2016

Sue Pocklington visited the RISE family refuge in Brighton to see first-hand where our donations go to help the women and children. The main aim of the refuge is to supply a safe and secure environment and help them rebuild their lives.

Sue’s visit inspired our Christmas Tree Challenge, concentrating our final fundraising efforts to buy a real 6ft Christmas tree and decorations for the entrance hall of the refuge. We were overwhelmed with the generosity of James Goodyer and the staff at Brighton and Hove Christmas trees (www.brightonandhovechristmastrees.co.uk) who kindly donated the tree so our fundraising efforts could buy Christmas gifts for the women and children.

Funds were raised by staff taking part in a hamper raffle; Christmas Jumper Day and a prize draw to win a homemade Christmas Cake beautifully made by Emily Fletcher.
